Young & the Restless

When working with children of a young age they can get very restless in a matter of minutes. It is always a good idea to give them the information ahead of time so that they understand what they are going to be doing. Do not make it a big ordeal and make them pose, they will relax once they get to know the person who is taking the pictures. This in itself could take some time, but once they are comfortable with the person behind the camera the moments that will be captured are amazing.

I have worked with mostly children between the ages of two years old and ten years old. Each one of them has a different personality that is brought out in the photos themselves. I understand that as a new photographer not each photo session will be the same. If I can capture that one amazing picture with the child and they are relaxed and being themselves, that moment will be captured and gives the family something to enjoy forever.
